A video about what I learned from being a vegetarian/vegan and why I changed my mind. I was a vegetarian/vegan for seven years and believed I would be one forever, but after learning more I decided that it was no longer the best diet for me to follow. I want to simply share my thoughts. I’m not a medical professional. I am also fully supportive of people choosing to be vegan or vegetarian and can certainly understand why that is a choice many people make. However, I also know that I am not the only person who has changed their mind and I want to support those people also. Thanks for watching, and I wish you all the best! 🙂
In particular, I stopped being a vegetarian after being diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and deciding to do the Specific Carbohydrate Diet. I had lost the ability to digest many vegan foods and felt that eating meat gave me the best chance of feeling better and healing from the disease.
